Thirty Things to Make While I’m Thirty

My how things change. For the better, I might add. I’m so happy now and can only see my life getting even better. What a great feeling!

My life’s going to get tastier, too. I’ve decided that this year, to celebrate being thirty, I’m going to make all thirty items on this list. Some things I chose as challenges. Some were chosen because I want learn certain, specific techniques. I chose a couple because I want to find the ultimate recipe. And some were chosen because they have sentimental value to me.

I can’t wait to get started on these recipes. I hope you’ll enjoy my work, as well!

Happy Birthday, my love! 🙂 I'm totally with you on the peach cobbler…my great-grandmother made the best one ever, but I've always been too afraid to try it! But I have no doubt you'll make a delicious one (unless it has biscuits on top..in which case, we can't be friends anymore). ;-)I hope you have an amazingly wonderful day, and an even better year!Love, Amywww.singforyoursupperblog.com

Happy birthday Kelsey! 30 is a big one.I love your list. So many fun things!Let me suggest some recipes:-For whole wheat bread, try Reinhart's version in my and TPOX's blog. I'm also interested in the one branny recently published (from King Arthur Flour maybe?)-I've tried a couple different pita bread recipes, and they've been equally good.-Cooks Illustrated's recipes for pad Thai and tiramisu are better than any I've had elsewhere, even at restaurants.-I've made 2 oatmeal cookies recipes that I love. One is Tartine's, it's in my blog, and the other is CI's. It's called something like "Oatmeal Cookies with Pecans, Chocolate Chunks, and Dried Cherries." Neither are classic oatmeal raisin, so you'd need to adapt them a bit, but they might give you a great base recipe.
